É complicado… Ainda falta, quase que exatamente, um ano para a minha fatídica viagem de reconhecimento. Mas sobre o que falar? Não tem muitas coisa que eu possa falar no que se trata ao Canadá.
Tudo o que eu posto é sobre coisas que leio. Notícias, fatos, e tudo o mais. E, ultimamente, não tem muitas coisas interessantes que tenham acontecido. Nem algo de grande curiosidade…
Mas eu prometo que, assim que eu tiver algo, eu vou postar. Assim que algo interessante se tornar de meu conhecimento, publicarei. Enquanto isto, copio um e-mail que recebi, para mostrar que o Canadá também tem seus probleminhas:
Man charged with attempted murder after teens pushed onto subway
tracksTORONTO (CBC) – A Toronto man accused of pushing three teenagers at
a west-end subway station, sending two onto the tracks in front of
an oncoming train, has been charged with attempted murder.Adenir DeOliveira, 47, appeared in a Toronto court on Saturday and
was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. He will remain in
police custody until his bail hearing.DeOliveira is charged with three counts of attempted murder and two
assault charges.Toronto police allege two teens were deliberately pushed onto the
tracks in front of an eastbound train at the Dufferin subway station
at about 4:50 p.m. on Friday.“Totally unprovoked. We didn’t know the guy,” one of three teens who
was pushed told CBC News.A court order was also issued on Saturday preventing the naming of
the victims or their relatives.The youth said the group of teens didn’t have any interaction with
the man who pushed them.He was pushed by the man but was able to regain his balance and did
not fall off the platform and onto the subway tracks. Two of his
friends, however, did tumble into the path of a train.One of the teens, 14, was able to crawl under the platform, and
pulled his friend, 15, along with him, out of the way of the
approaching train. But his friend’s left foot was clipped by the
train.Some of the teen’s friends chased after the man believed to have
pushed the boys, who fled the scene.A ticket collector and another bystander were allegedly assaulted by
the man and joined the pursuit. They were able to apprehend the man
a few blocks away from the station and hold him until police arrived
and arrested him.The father of the injured 15-year-old told CBC News on Saturday that
reports the boy’s foot and toes were crushed are untrue.“He’s doing well. He’s in good spirits. He had some surgery last
night on his foot,” the father of the injured boy said.His son had just turned 15 on Thursday and was out celebrating with
a group of four friends from elementary school on Friday afternoon.The father said his son surviving the incident is the best birthday
gift anyone in the family could have received.The father said there are some concerns about blood supply to his
son’s foot that are being examined by medical staff. But the family
has been told any damage will be cosmetic.The boy was expected to be released from hospital by Saturday night.
A pushing incident on Toronto’s subway system has not occurred since
1997, when a woman was killed after being thrown in front of a
subway at Dundas station.“We’re just grateful these children were not killed and we wish them
nothing but a speedy recovery both physically and mentally,” said
Toronto Transit Commission spokesman Brad Ross said, adding it was a
rare and isolated incident.“I can not imagine the fear and the complete terror that they must
have felt at that time. The act of that 14-year-old to pull his
friend over and to think so quickly is quite impressive,” Ross said.Every subway platform in Toronto has yellow tactile tiles that
indicate the edge of the platform.Other safety measures include an intercom to the collectors, a video
camera and pay phone.But the mother of one of the teens said the TTC should be looking at
installing a barrier system after Friday’s incident.“Occasionally when these matters happen and they don’t happen
frequently at all we’re asked questions about platform screen
doors,” said Gary Webster, chief general manager for the TTC.Webster said the transit commission is studying installing a barrier
system at its 69 stations but that it would likely cost more than $6
million.Each day, more than 1.5 million rides are taken via the Toronto

Bem, sabado fui para a STB pegar um orçamento mais recente… Como disse, eu mudei quando iria. Ao invés de ir em Novembro, irei em Fevereiro. Eu fiz umas contas aqui e descobri que eu consigo viajar em Novembro. Porém um amigo meu, o único que acho que ainda vai, se é que vai, só poderá ir em 2010. O que deixa para depois a minha viagem… Bem, quatro meses a mais de espera, o que daria a mais? hehehehe.

Eu achei um pouco mais salgado.. O total, convertido com a cotação de 1 USD = R$ 2,46, sairia ao valor de aproximadamente R$ 4.700,00. Somado o valor da passagem, daria um pouco mais caro que o último orçamento.
Mas eu ainda estou confiante da viagem… Quero MUITO ir para este intercâmbio… Agora é gerenciar o câmbio e esperar chegar em Julho/Agosto para dar entrada… E vamos que vamos 
Dois posts em dois dias? Gente… Estou curado? Kkkkk. Na verdade, estou sacrificando meu horário de almoço (no qual eu deveria estar estudando, e não descansando, btw) para postar.
Sábado é muito provável que eu e um amigo meu irmeos para a STB verificar os novos orçamentos… A mulherzinha lá deve ficar possessa, pois eu estaria indo, novamente, para ver preços mas fechar que é bom, nada 
.
Então devo postar aqui sábado ou domingo 
Depois de tanto tempo, nada como uma postagem… É verdade, eu sumi faz um tempo, e meus posts de quase nada adiantam para os que querem saber sobre o Canadá. Mas eu estou tentando postar com mais freqüência. Porém o trabalho e os estudos vem me massacrando firmemente hehehehe. Mas bem, chega de desculpas e vamos lá falar sobre alguma coisa.
“Como estudar inglês?”, “Meu ingês é bom?”, “Eu ACHO que meu inglês é bom!”, são frases que, comumente, eu vejo as pessoas interessadas na imigração me perguntarem. Então posso dar algumas ajudas ou conselhos.
Para os que já sabem inglês, há várias opções. Fazer curso para aperfeiçoamento, estudar ou, simplesmente, treinar. Na empresa onde trabalhava, haviam 2 pessoas que queriam aperfeiçoar o inglês. E, por isto, sempre conversávamos em inglês. O que ajuda bastante na escrita e na leitura. O problema fica na pronúncia, onde não conseguimos treinar (cá entre nós, seria bizarro e estranho conversarmos m inglês no meio da empresa hehehehe).
Mas para os que querem treinar, tenho algumas dicas:
- Assista filmes sem legenda ou, no máximo, com legenda em inglês. Acreditem, isso faz uma diferença enorme. Pode ser que você, no começo, realmente não entenda nada… Mas é um jeito.
- Ouça músicas e tente prestar atenção na letra. É incrível como MUITA gente ouve muita música em inglês mas, se você perguntar a letra, muitos se enrolam. Com pouco tempo, você verá que já as compreende facilmente.
- Acesse o site: Learning English – BBC. É o site da BBC de Londres com um material para estudos =).
- Adqüira o material da Rosetta Stone. É um material pago, mas ouvi rumores de pessoas que adquiriram na internet. Já aviso que NÃO vou dizer onde pegar, como pegar. Pirataria, por mais que quase todo ser humano pratique, é crime. E digamos que eu quero manter sse blog dentro das leis, ok?
. - Acesse o site 68onews. Ou qualquer outra rádio. Eu gosto desta porque são notícias 24h por dia e dá para tentar ouvir bastante coisa =).
- Site com algum material: eslpod.
- Um site para treinar inglês: Live Mocha. O treino é fraquinho, mas dá para fazer umas redações e treinar o Writting . Qualquer coisa, me procurem lá (Yossugo) que, na medida do possível, estarei corrigindo redações =). E também dá para fazer ótimos amigos para podermos treinar ainda mais =).
Bom, é isso. Sei que o post ficou meio “fraco”, mas não há muito o que se falar. No que precisarem treinar inglês, estarei disposto a falar mais sobre hehehehe.
